What a Class 3 DSC is for
Understand signing, encryption and combo DSCs, USB token compatibility, verification and the steps to choose a certificate for your portal.
Start with the portal you need to use
A Digital Signature Certificate connects a verified identity to a public key. It is issued by a licensed Certifying Authority after verification. BusinessMarga provides application coordination; certificates offered through this catalogue are issued by Certifying Authorities licensed by the CCA.
Before ordering, identify the portal and the work you will perform. MCA, GST, income-tax and tender systems may have different applicant, certificate and software requirements. Check the portal's current instructions rather than choosing only by price.
Signing, encryption or both?
A signing certificate supports digital signing. An encryption certificate supports the relevant encryption use. A combo package covers both purposes where the portal requires them. A DGFT certificate is offered for the supported import/export use case. These choices are not interchangeable; confirm the requirement with the authority or portal.
Choose individual or organisation scope according to the applicant and authorised signatory. Confirm the validity period and whether a new USB token is needed. A foreign applicant or automated document-signing requirement needs a separate eligibility and scope review before a quote.
Check your existing USB token first
A compatible USB token holds the signing key securely. If you already own one, ask whether it supports the selected certificate and intended portal before ordering a certificate-only package. An existing token does not automatically mean that a new certificate will work with it.
A new Precision InnaIT USB token is an optional, separately priced item. Certificate issuance and physical token delivery are different steps, and shipment progress can be tracked separately. Keep the token and PIN under your control; never share a private key, token PIN or OTP in application chat.
Prepare for verification and track the result
The initial checklist includes applicant identity and address evidence, a photograph and contact details. Organisation applications may also require entity and signatory records. The issuing authority confirms the exact documents and any additional verification.
Successful payment does not replace verification or guarantee issuance. In your BusinessMarga account, follow document requests, review updates and application messages. Before using the issued certificate, follow the intended portal's installation and signing instructions. Record its expiry date and plan renewal before your next filing.
